What Are the Duties of a Probate Executor in California?

A Probate Executor's Role:

A probate executor (also called a personal representative) is appointed by the court to
manage a deceased person’s estate.

  3. File final state and federal tax returns

Distribute & Close the Estate

California Probate Code §10800 provides statutory compensation based on the gross value of the estate:
